Often a start-up needs direction on selecting their organizational forms and determining permits applicable to their business. Jennifer Johnston joined the Paris SBDC in December 2018. She has a MBA with a minor in Business Analytics. She has a background in management, marketing, market research, data analysis, and accounting. Market research and financial analysis support the business planning, feasibility, and financial projections applicable to small business growth and financing.
Jennifer’s current training include National Development Council, EDFP track on financial analysis and loan structuring. In 2019 she has also trained on ISBA Business Valuations.

Jim Struwe, Certified Business Advisor, EDFP, is a seasoned accountant and serial entrepreneur. Building on his BBA in accounting from Stephen F. Austin University, Jim has assembled almost 40 years of corporate and small business experience. Jim has worked on various government contracts, public filing documents required by the SEC and DOD, and securing SBA-backed funding. He shares his accounting expertise as a QuickBooks Pro Advisor and teaches the course at Paris Junior College. His insights assist small business owners in understanding financial reports as a management tool and determining how to access working capital. Jim completed National Development Councils EDFP, Economic Development Financial Professional Certification, to build on financial analysis and loan structuring. Jim recently completed NAV certification at 2019 National SBDC Conference, which provides further training on business credit score and financing.

Becky Cornelius brings 20 years of office management, public relations and communication in distance learning . Much of her career was in public education at the secondary level. Her background also includes experience in the insurance industry, income tax preparation, bookkeeping, and media. An interesting fact in media relations is her experience in radio voice overs and television commercials.
